Advertiser & Lending Disclosure
SeedFi (seedfiloan.com) is a loan-connection and comparison service, not a lender. Participating lenders pay us referral fees when loans close. This page states exactly what that means for what you see and what you pay.
The Business Model, Plainly
When you submit a request through SeedFi, participating state-licensed lenders review it and may respond with offers. If you accept an offer and the loan funds, the lender pays SeedFi a referral fee. That fee is the company's revenue — all of it. Borrowers pay SeedFi nothing at any stage: no application fees, no matching fees, no membership, nothing deducted from loan proceeds on our behalf.
What the Fee Does Not Do
The referral fee does not change your rate, your terms, or your total cost — lenders price your file on its merits under your state's caps, and their fee to us is their customer-acquisition cost, not your surcharge. The fee also does not buy placement in your offer results: offers appear based on lenders' own responses to your request, not on payment for position. Where this site publishes comparisons involving lenders outside our network (as the Compare Lenders page does), inclusion is editorial, not paid, and we say so there too.
What the Fee Could Bias, and Our Counterweights
Honesty requires naming the structural bias: we earn when loans close, which pressures any company like ours toward encouraging borrowing. Our counterweights are published and checkable — guides that rank free alternatives above loans, pages that tell sub-$300 and recurring-shortfall readers not to borrow, sizing advice that consistently pushes requests down rather than up, and a review page that prints the critical reviews. If you ever find a page on this site that seems to encourage borrowing the page's own logic doesn't support, we want that report: contact us.
We Are Not a Lender
SeedFi does not make loans, make credit decisions, service loans, or collect payments. Every loan agreement is between you and a state-licensed lender; that lender's identity, license, and terms appear on your offer and agreement documents. Approval, funding times, amounts, APRs, and repayment terms are set solely by lenders and vary by state law and your credit profile. Nothing on this site is an offer to lend, and every figure — payment examples, APR ranges, savings estimates — is an educational estimate with a representative example where required, never a promise.
Your State, Your Protections
Lending is regulated state by state. The lenders reviewing your request are licensed where you live, their rates are bounded by your state's caps, and your state regulator's public lookup can verify any lender's license — we encourage exactly that verification.
